Teaching-Centered Methods of Imagery in Children Poetry (Case Study: Mostafa Rahmandoust Poetry)

Abstract

For a variety of reasons and purposes, adults always are looking for ways to enter and influence the imagines and the inner world of the children. Literature and poetry along with their forms, genres, techniques, and their specific literary and artistic elements, are considered as one of the oldest and most important human achievements in this field. Orators along with education scholars consistently have been the reference for the production of indelible and precious works in various fields with regard to fostering personality and skills dimensions of the children. In the meantime, considering the literary and poetic elements, poetic images play an important role with regard to affecting the mental world of the children. This article has investigated the effects of literary and imaginative images in Mostafa Rahmandoust teaching-cantered poetry. In order to meet this aim, first various kinds of educational concepts and then forms and features of those images which have been used in each of the educational topics in the Mostafa Rahmandoust poetry were analyzed. The results indicate that poetic images can play a significant role in indirect transfer of educational and cultural concepts in children poetry. The emotional functions of these images along with experimental, emotional, cognitive and imaginative abilities are effective factors in development of poet"s intended cultural concepts in the kind of poetry.
